Tirzepatide

Tirzepatide is the active ingredient in Mounjaro, a weekly injectable GLP-1 medication. GLP-1 medications have been approved for type 2 diabetes because they lower blood sugar and raise insulin levels. In addition to affecting blood sugar and insulin levels, studies have shown these injections are excellent at promoting weight.

How It Works

Tirzepatide attaches to two receptors (GLP-1 and GIP), unlike previous GLP-1 analogs which only attach to one, resulting in increased overall weight loss (around 20%).

GLP-1 medications mimic a hormone called GLP-1 that the body releases after a meal, signaling fullness and lowering appetite. They also slow gastric emptying so food moves slower through the stomach.

The price of the shot per week is dependent on the dose. You will start on the lowest dose and gradually work your way up.

2.5mg is $65 per shot / 5.0mg is $95 per shot / 7.5mg is $110 per shot

You will have the option to increase your dose every 4 weeks.
